BARBARA RETURNS TO SINGAPORE!
Barbara returned this month to Singapore where she spoke at the HR Summit ?05 of Asia. This summit is Asia's biggest and best HR event of the year and had the best line- up of speakers ever assembled for Human Resources in Asia.
BARBARA WENT CRUISIN?
Barbara recently sailed aboard the Regal Princess to Alaska. While onboard, she gave a presentation on "Care Packages for the Home" and "Care Packages for the Workplac - Dozens of Little Things You Can Do to Regenerate Spirit at Work."
ARTICLES
On July 20, 2005, The Sacramento Bee published an article, "Home Sweet Cubicle," quoting some of Barbara's suggestions from her book, Care Packages for the Workplace: Dozens of Little things You Can Do to Regenerate Spirit at Work. The article, written by Rasmi Simhan, discussed creative ways to decorate and personalize cubicles and offices.
Barbara was also recently quoted in Rising Women Magazine. The article, "Employee Retention - Recognizing the Changing Workplace-Part 1," was written by Peg Lund.
HRM Singapore recently ran an article titled "Age of Cyber Knights and Hollywood Days" concerning HR's current mindset towards recruitment and retention. The article featured Barbara and Canadian management expert, Warren Evans. While Mr. Evans covered recruitment, Barbara spoke on motivation and keeping employees after they are recruited.
In the May 17 issue of The Indianapolis Star's article, "How to kick-start your success in a new job," Barbara gave valuable information on ways to make your position, new or otherwise, your own, by putting your personal signature on your work. She also told the story of Johnny the Bagger.
